The film “Maggi Pusthaka” based on Harivarasanam’s novel AVANI has now successfully completed 100 days of its screening across the state. This film has the distinction of being the first children’s film to celebrate its centenary this year. Recently 100 days success celebration ceremony was held at the Bhumika Theater, where the film has being screened. On this occasion, momentos was distributed to all the artists and technicians who worked for this movie. Chinnaswamy Yethiraj produced it under Chinnaswamy Films for the film directed by Harivarasanam who also has penned script. Rajashekar Davangere, Eshwari Manju, Nagaveni, Dr Lalitharao, Sunigowda Kanakapura, Naveen Gowda, Shashikant Varadahalli and other who are the co-producers were present during this occassion.

Producer Chinnaswamy Yethiraj said, “Nowadays, it is truly a miracle that a Kannada film has run for 100 days. The reason for this success is the continuous efforts of the director. It is because of them that we are all standing on this stage today. This success was possible only as a result of the sincere efforts of all those present on the stage. I am very happy. I am grateful to all the technicians and artists who contributed to this success”.
Director Harivarasanam said, ‘Our film has won today because of the cooperation and support given by the audience and the film crew’. Senior supporting artist Pankaja, who played a leading role, said ‘today nine like minded producers have come together like the Navaratnas to cater a good film to audience. Director Hari has shown what children do on mobile phones through this film. The way the movie has sculptured this film should win a state award’ saod Pankaja.
This is a story that revolves around a girl named Avani from a poor family. Story of this movie takes place in four dimensions, has a good message for children as well as parents. Thousands of students and parents across the state have watched and appreciated this film. The book Maggi is a calculation of life, and life itself is like a Maggi book, in which there is a message that good should be added, bad should be subtracted, ignorance should be multiplied, and knowledge should be divided, it is a hyperlink story that takes place in four dimensions.
Maggi Pusthaka has music composed by Yashas Nachappa and cinematography by Nandakumar. There are 7 songs in the film and M M Keeravani sung for one of the songs. The film was released by K Munindra through M.P. Films.
